A small farm is a productive place, and we regularly find we have more than we need.
Below are the animals we currently have available. Contact us if you are interested in bringing one of them home.
We have been been raising Kahtadin hair sheep for almost a decade, slowly building a healthy parasite resistant herd. If you’re not already familiar with Kahtadin sheep, they are a breed of hair sheep, which means they shed, and don’t need to be sheared. With a good system for protection (in our case a guard dog), and fences, we have found them to be one of the lowest maintenance animals on the farm. They have provided most of the meat for our table over the years.
We are selling four of our proven breeding ewes and one female spring lamb, to transition our herd to a breed of sheep which produces both meat and wool. These girls have never been treated for parasites, and the ewes have never needed assistance with a birth, and this is also true of the generations before them. The ewes are $250 each, the lamb $150, or as a herd for $950
